What happens in a choppy, sideways market?

In this state, trend-following strategies (MA Cross, Momentum) are automatically downweighted, and mean reversion strategies (RSI/Bollinger, ML Score) take over — buying the range lows and selling the range highs with tighter take-profits. It's a fundamentally different trading approach for a fundamentally different environment.
How does APEX handle Fed decisions and major macro events?
APEX has a built-in macro calendar tracking FOMC rate decisions (8 per year), US CPI prints, Non-Farm Payrolls, and Fed chair speeches. Four hours before any high-impact event, position sizes reduce automatically. Thirty minutes before, all new entries are frozen. In the 30 minutes after the release, APEX switches to momentum mode to capture the initial directional move. One to two hours after, it fades the inevitable overreaction. The entire sequence is fully automated — no manual intervention needed.
Does APEX have custody of my funds?
No — and this is the most important thing to understand about APEX. Your funds stay in your own Hyperliquid wallet at all times. APEX connects via a trade-only API sub-wallet you generate yourself. Hyperliquid's API keys are architecturally incapable of withdrawals — they can only place and cancel trades. This means even if APEX was hacked, shut down, or disappeared entirely, your funds are completely untouched. You can revoke API access instantly from Hyperliquid with no permission from us.

What returns can I realistically expect?
We won't promise returns — and any service that does should be treated with extreme scepticism. Performance depends on market conditions, your leverage settings, and position sizing. Our internal backtests on BTC and ETH 1H data show positive expectancy, but past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Paper trade first and set conservative risk parameters when going live.
